AS~U~R News
Hello and welcome back to AS-U-R
Holiday Club
Half term, and summer holiday dates on the holiday club page. This is now being run by Winchesea school on behalf of AS-U-R. AS-U-R parents are still very much welcome and encouraged to enjoy the holiday club and facilities. Parents must still remain with their children.
TIME 4 ME
We have been working in conjunction with PoPP’s, Coping with Chaos, Face2Face and other local voluntary organisations. TIME 4 ME – a friendly drop-in session to be held on the 2nd Thursday of each month during term-time, 10.00am-12.00pm at the Quay Advice Centre, 18 Hill Street, Poole. This is running from 14th May 2009. The aim of the group is to provide an opportunity for parents/carers of children with additional needs to meet up and gain information. See meeting dates for more information.
Barnardos Play Rangers
The Play Ranger service works throughout the Borough and aims to encourage young people to use the parks and open spaces in their communities. Rangers build dens, play sports, make tree swings and all sorts of art & craft activities. They also build fires and toast marshmallows! They are out in the parks regardless of the weather, all year round including school holidays. The service targets young people aged between 7-13 years. They operate an open access policy so children are free to come and go as they please. The Play Rangers project is completely Free of Charge. All Play Rangers are CRB cleared.
